Flew Vancouver to Jeddah and my bag didn’t show up, annoying but whatever, it happens. What’s blown my mind is everything after. No updates, phone numbers that don’t work, staff at the airport acting like I’m bothering them just by asking. Went back twice and still nothing.
At one point I was allowed into the storage room and there were hundreds of lost bags piled everywhere. Couldn’t find mine. Tried KLM since the ticket was issued by them, but they said they can’t help. Went to Saudia’s offices in Jeddah and kept getting bounced to the wrong building. Finally someone told me I have to wait 21 days before I can even file a claim.
It’s been 15 days now and honestly I’ve given up. This trip was supposed to be special and the whole thing got wrecked by how little anyone seems to care. If you fly Saudia, get an AirTag and don’t expect much help if something goes wrong.
