SAS vs BA premium economy for BOS to AMS, worth the price gap?

Looking at BOS to AMS in May for a family of four. SAS premium economy is about $1,000 per person, BA is closer to $1,650. On paper the seats look almost identical, same width, pitch, recline.

What I’m struggling with is the actual experience. I keep reading that SAS service can feel very… Scandinavian. Efficient but a bit cold. I haven’t flown them long haul before. Last time I flew BA was years ago in economy and it was totally fine, nothing special but pleasant enough.

Transfers would be CPH on SAS vs LHR on BA, which is another factor. Delta, KLM, AF were all around $2,750 pp so that’s just not happening for four people, even though I’d love a nonstop.

For anyone who’s flown both in premium economy, is BA really worth the extra $650, or is SAS perfectly fine and I’m overthinking it?
