Quick question for the SAS pros.
Let’s say I book economy between North America and Europe and it earns 1400 level points. If I then win a money upgrade bid to economy premium and get the extra 1500 “upgrade incentive” level points, would that mean I end up with 2900 total?
And if I had originally booked economy premium outright, that would earn 4000 level points, correct?
So basically, even if I upgrade with cash, I still won’t earn the same level points as if I had booked the higher cabin from the start?
I’m asking because work only allows me to book economy. I can bid for an upgrade with my own card, but I’d obviously like to maximize level points if possible.
Any tips on how to get the most points in this situation?
