This one surprised me. Flying SCL to IPT round trip. Google Flights showed about $970 in business, but once I clicked through to LATAM it was suddenly $1700 to $2000. Thought Google was just teasing with a one leg price.
Tried laptop, app, same thing. Then somehow ended up on the Spanish version of the site priced in Chilean pesos. No VPN, no tricks. Same flight, under $1000 round trip in business.
Booked it immediately.
I’ve played with VPNs before and never saw anything this extreme. Didn’t expect language and currency alone to make that big of a difference.
Definitely worth checking if you’re booking international LATAM flights.
