This is exactly why I stopped using the Saks credit for anything fragile. Charging return shipping when the item shows up broken is insane, and then acting like they’re doing you a favor by deducting it instead of charging separately. Same outcome, just worse vibes.
It’s wild that Amazon and Walmart handle this stuff better at this point. For a store that’s supposed to be premium, the customer service feels stuck in another decade. Half the time the credit ends up costing more effort than it’s worth.
These days I only use it for small, boring stuff I know I won’t need to return. Anything else just feels like a gamble.
