Went to use my Saks credit and almost everything I normally buy is out of stock. Kitchen section is a mess. The Staub 8.5 inch skillet I’ve had saved for months is gone in every color. Same story with most decent items. Just endless notify me buttons.
There have been rumors about Saks for a while, but this feels different. They are not replenishing inventory online at all. You can still buy insanely expensive stuff, but anything in that sweet spot where people actually use the Amex credit seems wiped out.
If you’re sitting on gift cards or waiting to use your credit, I’d honestly just spend it now. Even paying shipping hurts less than losing the credit completely. Candles, glasses, random gifts, whatever you can find.
Maybe this is just a holiday inventory issue, but it really feels like they’re letting stock run down. Heads up to anyone planning to wait.
