I am planning a move from the east coast to San Francisco this summer and will be driving alone with my dog. I am choosing between three main cross-country routes: i80, i40, and i10.
Since safety is my main concern, I am trying to understand which of these highways is generally considered the safest in terms of road conditions, traffic, weather risks, and overall driving experience. I will also be using a secure crate for my dog and making regular stops along the way.
