Flew Stansted to Madrid with Ryanair in late December and my checked bag didn’t show up. Filed a PIR at the airport and had to buy clothes and toiletries since I had no idea when the bag would turn up.
They called me the next morning around 9am saying the luggage was ready to collect. Between the essentials I bought and extra parking costs from waiting around and going back to collect the bag, it came to about €120.
I submitted a compensation claim and Ryanair has now replied denying it. Before I push back, I want to sanity check. Is this actually correct under baggage delay rules, or are they just doing the usual Ryanair thing and hoping I drop it?
Anyone been through something similar?
