Trying to understand how Ryanair handles this before I mess it up.
Traveling in July with my wife, mother in law, and two minor children. I know that if you don’t pay for seat selection, Ryanair assigns seats for free before departure and guarantees that kids are seated next to an adult on the same booking.
So in theory, without paying, it could end up like:
Me in 3B
Kids in 3A and 3C
Wife in 18D
Mother in law in 11F
Which is fine, since the kids are next to an adult.
But what if I do buy assigned seats for all the adults only? For example, seats 4A, 4B, and 4C for me, my wife, and my mother in law, but don’t pay for the kids.
Will Ryanair then:
Assign the kids to seats next to us (like 4D and 4E), or
Try to find free seats together for the kids and potentially move one of the adults to make it work?
Basically trying to figure out if paying for adult seats helps or actually makes things more complicated.
