This is honestly wild.
They emailed saying my Gran Canaria to Manchester flight was delayed by 6 hours. I was already on the way to the airport so I turned around. No way I’m sitting there all day.
Then 9 minutes before the original departure time they ping me again saying it’s now leaving at 13:30. So I had like 39 minutes to magically get back to the airport and board. Obviously impossible.
Support told me to book another airline and said I’d be compensated. I even screenshotted it. So I flew to Birmingham, paid for a hotel, then train to Manchester the next morning. Missed a football game I’d already paid for too. And yes… it was my birthday.
Now they’ve rejected the whole claim.
I’d be fuming. Has anyone actually taken Ryanair to AviationADR or small claims over something like this and won?
