Ryanair baggage clarification, 10kg checked bag vs cabin allowance on Ryanair

I’m trying to understand the baggage options when adding a checked bag to an existing booking (priority + two cabin bags).

The confusion is around the 10kg checked bag option:

Does the 10kg checked bag count as additional allowance on top of my 10kg cabin bag, or

Is it essentially just converting (checking in) my existing 10kg cabin bag into checked luggage?

In other words, if I purchase the 10kg checked bag, am I:

Getting extra baggage allowance overall, or

Simply moving one of my permitted cabin bags into the hold with the same weight limit?

Clarification on how Ryanair’s baggage structure works in this case would be helpful.
