Two weeks ago I was trying to figure out whether my son’s Stokke Jetkids suitcase would be allowed on board as cabin baggage.
To my surprise, Ryanair did not object at all and treated it as free luggage, similar to a Trunki suitcase. This applied on both the outbound and return flights.
They also allowed us to use it from the start of boarding as long as the child was securely fastened with a seatbelt.
Just sharing in case anyone else is unsure in a similar situation, since I had expected pushback at check in based on previous experiences with cabin baggage rules.
That said, check in staff still seemed inconsistent, as they often try to send cabin sized pushchairs into the hold even when additional cabin baggage has been purchased to avoid damage.
