RV Camping With Our 90-Year-Old Grandma Was the Trip of a Lifetime

We just got back from a spontaneous RV trip to Jellystone Park in Pennsylvania and we brought our 90-year-old grandma along. Honestly, we weren’t sure how it would go, but with a comfy camper setup and a rented golf cart, she surprised us all. She played mini-golf, helped walk the dogs, and even got better at climbing the RV steps by day three. Her competitive streak came out too who knew mini-golf would be her jam?

It reminded me how easy it is to underestimate older relatives. Slowing down doesn’t mean stopping. This trip was full of laughs, quiet moments, and family stories I’ll never forget. Have you ever traveled with an older family member? What tips made it easier or more fun?

My family brought our 90-year-old grandma on an RV camping trip. With her needs and abilities in mind, we rented a golf cart and had a great time.
