Royal Caribbean pauses Haiti stops - my upcoming cruise just changed

Just got the email about my March Eastern Caribbean sailing being modified due to Royal suspending Labadee port calls until spring 2024. While I'll miss that gorgeous private beach and the Dragon's Breath zip line (longest over-water zip in the Caribbean!), I completely understand RC putting safety first given the situation in Haiti. For those booked on affected sailings, they're typically substituting with either St. Kitts or St. Maarten depending on the itinerary.

Having visited Labadee six times over the years, it's honestly one of my favorite private cruise destinations in the Caribbean - the infrastructure Royal built there is incredible and the local staff are wonderful. But cruise lines have to stay flexible with port planning, and I've learned over 20+ cruises that itinerary changes are just part of the experience. For now, I'm actually excited to spend extra time in St. Maarten instead, especially since Maho Beach just reopened their famous plane-spotting area.
