I recently stayed at The Ritz-Carlton Turtle Bay and had a great overall experience, although it did not fully feel like a typical Ritz-Carlton property.
On the same trip, I also stayed at The Royal Hawaiian. While we paid a premium for a Diamond Head and oceanfront balcony room, the room condition was disappointing. It felt quite worn, with stained carpet, damaged furniture, and a desk chair that was heavily degraded. There were also visible marks and general signs of age throughout the room.
Given these experiences, I am now looking for recommendations for other properties on Oahu that offer a better overall standard.
