So I’m on a train right now and this is the view from my seat, a wide-open panel with a bunch of exposed wires and a big box labeled Saloon Temperature Controller.
At first I thought it was kind of funny, like “ah yes, first class amenities: live access to the HVAC brain.” But after staring at it for a while, I started wondering if this is something I should actually flag to staff.
The train is running fine, no sparks, no weird smells. Just feels odd sitting next to what looks like unfinished electrical work. On the bright side, I guess if it gets too hot or cold, I could just reach over and “fix” it myself.
