I recently stayed at The Ritz-Carlton Osaka and overall had a very positive experience.
The location is excellent, situated in central Umeda right across from Osaka Station, making it convenient for business, shopping, sightseeing, and dining. There is also an airport limousine bus from Kansai International Airport nearby.
The rooms are clean and well maintained, although the design feels somewhat dated. Even standard rooms are quite spacious at around 43 sqm, comparable to junior suites at many other hotels. Amenities were strong, including universal power sockets, pillow mist, pajamas, and quality toiletries such as wooden hairbrushes, bath salts, and other premium items. The hotel also offers a Ritz Kids “Night Safari” experience.
Service was a standout feature, with very professional and friendly staff throughout the stay.
On the downside, the club lounge is restricted to club room bookings and not available to Platinum members or above. Elite benefits include welcome points, possible suite upgrades via NUA, late checkout, and access to fitness and pool facilities.
Overall, I felt the “hardware” of the hotel is slightly dated, but the service “software” makes the stay exceptional.
