I recently stayed one night at the Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown for a solo staycation during a public holiday in Malaysia. I booked a 1 King room with club access directly through Hyatt using a cash rate. The property opened in 2025, so everything still feels very new and well maintained.
The room and overall hotel condition were excellent. The 42 sqm room was spacious with a modern and tasteful design, a comfortable king bed, strong water pressure, quality fixtures, and a Japanese-style electronic toilet. The pool and gym areas were also very clean and well maintained. Toiletries were the standard Pharmacopia amenities seen at other Hyatt Regency properties.
The club access benefits were a highlight. It included entry to the infinity pool in the residences building, which was a standout feature. I also received complimentary early check-in at 1 pm and late check-out at 2 pm. The evening happy hour in the lounge was enjoyable, and the breakfast buffet had a wide and high-quality selection. I was also pleasantly surprised by a welcome amenity and personalized note in the room.
Service throughout the stay was exceptional. Staff assisted with arrival, luggage, and check-in in a very welcoming way. Every interaction felt attentive and personalized, including room service and gym staff, who even helped design a workout routine.
The only downside is the location, which is not very walkable and generally requires transport to reach main attractions, although a shuttle service to KLCC is available.
Overall, I was impressed by the level of service despite not having elite status. I originally assumed this level of attention would be limited to top-tier members, but the experience exceeded expectations. I would definitely recommend booking with club access and would stay again.
