We just returned from our honeymoon at Excellence Playa Mujeres and had a really great experience, so I wanted to share a review.
Before going, we saw some reports about humidity issues in rooms, but we did not experience any problems like that. Pool chairs did fill up quickly, but we were still able to find beach chairs around 9am each morning without much trouble.
We tried several restaurants during our stay. We enjoyed The Kitchen for breakfast and brunch because of the variety of sweet and savory options. For dinner, we visited The Grill, Agave which was my personal favorite, Chez Isabelle which had good food but very slow service taking about 2.5 hours, and Spice which was not hibachi. We also attended Mexican Fiesta which had great food and was a fun cultural experience.
We booked transportation through the resort using Seasons Transfers and everything went smoothly both ways.
I have an allergy to alcohol and the staff were very accommodating. They offered many mocktail options and even made a special caramel ice cream for me when I could not have the regular version due to tequila content. The attention to detail was impressive.
Overall, this was our first all inclusive resort stay and we are already planning to visit their location in Ocho Rios next.
