I recently received a speeding ticket in Geneva for driving about 4 km/h over the limit. The fine itself was quite low, around 20 to 30 CHF, which was less than I expected.
However, the rental company Hertz is now charging an additional 60 CHF as an administrative fee related to the ticket.
I am wondering if others have had similar experiences with rental car companies adding extra charges in these situations, and whether there is any way to avoid or dispute this fee, or if it must be paid.
