We were just on the Regal Princess when it rerouted to Greenock, Glasgow instead of Stornoway due to Storm Floris, and wow, what a night. The outer decks were a mess with tossed furniture and flapping tarps. Thankfully the ship held up and nobody was injured, but you could feel the tension from guests who weren't expecting a rough sea day instead of a calm port visit.
Kudos to the captain for steering us safely through some wild winds and waves. Still, missing Invergordon and Stornoway was a letdown for many.
Anyone else on this sailing or ever had a cruise itinerary thrown off by weather? How did the crew or line handle it in your case?
