Rebooking Lufthansa ticket more than a year later?

I bought a round trip from Paris to São Paulo last year in Student Economy. Outbound was July 15, 2025 and return is March 5, 2026.

From the start, my plan was to move the return to August 2026 since I wasn’t sure when I’d go back to France.

Now when I try to change it, the system only lets me rebook up until July 15, 2026. It won’t show anything beyond that date.

Is the ticket validity really capped at one year from the original departure? Or is there any way to extend it to early August?

Ideally I’d like to change it to August 4.
