Rebooked on partner airline doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed a seat

Had a pretty stressful experience with Qatar rerouting me onto another airline.

What they don’t really make clear is that you’re basically standby. The partner airline boards their own passengers first, and only lets you on if there are seats left.

I almost didn’t make it and only got on because a few people didn’t show up.

Just something to keep in mind if you’re being rerouted, it’s not as confirmed as it sounds.
