Had a Lufthansa flight with a short connection and the first leg got delayed past the connection time. There were no more flights to my destination today.
Rather than deal with a random hotel, I called Lufthansa and rebooked the same flights for tomorrow so I could just stay home. Seemed easier for everyone.
Now I’m wondering if I’m still eligible for any refund or compensation since the delay was on their side. I didn’t ask for a hotel or meals and basically removed that cost for them, so I’m not sure where this falls.
Anyone been in a similar situation and know how Lufthansa usually handles this?
