Flying into Charles de Gaulle (CDG) from the US on a Saturday afternoon with my family of 6, including kids aged 7–15. We are planning ground transportation to our hotel but want to time it properly before booking anything.
We are not planning to take a taxi because we will not have car seats for the younger children.
My mother-in-law mentioned that she read customs could take 3–4 hours due to a “new process,” which seems a bit extreme, but I am not sure what is realistic.
For those who have recently arrived at CDG, how long does it usually take to get through immigration, baggage claim, and customs on a typical international arrival like this? We are trying to get a realistic estimate so we can book transport without stress or overpaying for long waiting times.
