Real ID officially required for domestic flights and most travelers seem ready

Well, after what feels like forever in delays, the Real ID deadline finally kicked in, and as of May 7, you need one to fly within the U.S. or a passport, if you're smart enough to pack it. I figured it’d be chaos, but sounds like most airports handled it fine, and a lot of travelers were actually prepared. Who knew?

That said, if you're not Real ID-ready, you're still not totally grounded just expect some extra screening fun. Honestly, it’s wild that after more than 20 years of buildup, it all went down pretty quietly.

Anyone still avoiding the DMV line and rolling with their passport instead?
