Got a weird email tonight saying I’m getting a refund I never asked for. It came from [email protected]
and looks pretty official.
Email includes a refund file number, passenger name, ticket number, and says a refund of $39.98 is being issued back to my Amex. Refund date listed as Dec 14, 2025. Thing is, I didn’t fly on that date and don’t have any trips that line up with this.
Hours are closed so I can’t call until tomorrow. Not sure if this is just Alaska auto-refunding a seat fee or something minor, or if I should be worried about account funny business.
Has anyone gotten a random Alaska refund email like this before? Did it end up being legit?
