Booked BKK to DOH to ATL in business for 95k Avios and my receipt shows UMILES1 as the fare class. I thought J awards included lounge access, but the app is showing it as a paid add on which has me confused.
If I don’t get lounge access, can I leave the airport during my 9 hour overnight layover? I land around 10:45 pm and was thinking of grabbing a room at the Hyatt nearby to sleep and shower. Not sure how that process works on a US passport.
Also seeing seat selection showing a fee. First leg is A380, second is A350 with QSuites. Should I pay or just wait for checkin?
