I had an interesting experience on a recent flight from Washington National to Charlotte.
A passenger seated near the back seemed determined to be among the first people off the aircraft. As everyone was waiting to deplane, he became increasingly impatient, repeatedly bumping into my bag and urging me to move forward, despite the fact that there were still multiple rows of passengers ahead of us.
Several travelers politely pointed out that deplaning is generally done row by row, but he disagreed and insisted that whoever reaches the aisle first should be able to exit first.
The most surprising part was that after rushing off the aircraft, he ended up standing at the gate looking at his phone, making the urgency seem a bit unnecessary in hindsight.
Has anyone else encountered passengers who seem determined to ignore basic deplaning etiquette?
