Question about whether additional food or drink service is normal on long-haul American Airlines flight

I’m currently on a 9.5-hour international flight and we are about 8 hours into the journey.

At the beginning of the flight, flight attendants served a meal and a drink, but since then there hasn’t been any additional service.

It’s been roughly 6–7 hours without any follow-up from the crew, and I’m wondering if this is normal on flights of this length.

I’m also unsure whether it would be appropriate to use the call button to request water or snacks, or if I should just wait.
