I’ve flown with Qatar Airways around 10 times and usually I’m able to change my seat for free during online check-in.
On my first flight segment, I was also able to switch seats without any charge. However, for the second leg of my journey (Doha to Kuala Lumpur), I was unexpectedly asked to pay a fee to change my seat.
I’m confused because in previous flights this was always free at check-in. I’m trying to understand why this time it’s different and whether this is normal policy or an exception.
