I’m currently Flying Blue Platinum status valid until the end of July 2026.
I’ve already reached 305 XP, and my account shows a message saying: “Congratulations, Platinum kept because 300 XP reached before 2026-07-31.”
My question is what happens if I continue earning XP after hitting the 300 XP threshold—for example, by purchasing SAF or earning through other qualifying activities.
Will any additional XP I earn before the end of the qualification period carry over in any way or affect my status after renewal? Or is anything beyond the required 300 XP essentially not useful for the next qualification cycle?
In other words, when the new period starts on 2026-08-01, do I reset to 0 XP, or does any extra XP get added into the next qualification year?
Would appreciate clarification from anyone familiar with how Flying Blue handles rollover XP.
