Question about exit row seats being reclassified as premium starting June on Alaska Airlines

I recently noticed a potential change in seating classification on Alaska Airlines.

It appears that starting in June, exit row seats may no longer be treated as standard “preferred” seats and are instead being reclassified as part of a premium seating category.

However, I have not seen any official announcement or fleet update confirming this change, so I am unsure whether this is an actual policy shift or just a temporary system adjustment.

Does anyone know if this reclassification is real or why it might be happening?
