Just did a round trip in Qsuite from the US to Doha with my wife.
The flight over was fantastic. Service was polished, warm, exactly what you expect from a premium product. Honestly up there with ANA, JAL, even Emirates for me.
The return flight though felt completely different. Crew seemed exhausted from the start. The tone was cold, responses were short, and a few interactions made us feel like we were bothering them just by asking for things. It was uncomfortable.
At one point a few hours in, I got up to stretch and overheard some of the crew talking about how annoyed and tired they were, and we still had more than 11 hours left. I get that long haul is tough and people get worn out, but when you are paying that much for business class you expect at least a consistent baseline of service.
This one ended up being one of the worst service experiences we have had in a premium cabin. Pretty disappointing considering Qatar’s reputation.
