I’m having an issue with Qatar Airways regarding Privilege Club Silver benefits on a recent booking.
I was told that my flight does not qualify for the additional baggage allowance (extra 15kg) that normally comes with Silver status.
The flight is listed as QR8400 and shows as operated by Qatar Airways for Virgin Australia on my ticket.
Qatar is saying the flight isn’t eligible for the status perks, but I’m not fully understanding why since it is operated by Qatar Airways.
Has anyone run into this before or been able to find the exact policy wording that explains when Silver benefits do and don’t apply in these codeshare/partner-operated cases?
