Qatar pricing feels extra confusing lately.
Seeing $1700 per person on the site, then a student discount dropping one ticket to $938, but not working for two passengers at all is already annoying. Then Sama AI comes in with $1900 total for two people and now nothing adds up.
Feels like the discounts and fare buckets are coded in a really weird way depending on how you search. Website vs app vs AI clearly aren’t pulling the same logic. Almost like Sama is accessing a different fare class or combining something the normal site won’t show.
I’ve noticed airlines doing this more lately where the app quietly has better pricing than the desktop site, but this gap is wild. Hard to trust what the real price even is anymore.
If that Sama fare actually tickets properly, I’d probably book it and not overthink it.
