Booked SOF to SFO via Doha for July. Just got an email from Qatar saying my flight is now a day earlier.
That cuts a full day off my trip. I also booked a hotel in Doha for the overnight that I can’t cancel.
What really bothers me is the original flight is still operating. It hasn’t been canceled. They’re just selling seats on it now for way more than what I paid.
How is that allowed?
Since it departs from the EU, does EU261 apply here? Can I insist on being put back on my original flight at no extra cost?
Honestly didn’t expect this from Qatar.
