Qatar crew felt totally off on my last flight. Am I overreacting?

Flew Doha to Istanbul with Qatar on Jan 9 and the experience was very different from what I’m used to with them.


Only one food and drink service, which was fine, but the crew vibe was just… off. Flight attendants looked upset, avoided eye contact, and generally seemed annoyed. When I went to the back to ask for water, they looked irritated, like I was interrupting their break.


What really stood out was the senior FA doing a service check. She asked passengers how the flight was, but when a couple people didn’t speak English, she basically brushed it off with “oh ok, all good then” and moved on.


I don’t want to fully blame the crew, I know the job can be stressful and maybe there’s stuff going on behind the scenes. But compared to other Qatar flights on the same route, this felt more like a low cost carrier experience. There was even a fight onboard, though no idea if that was related.


Just trying to sanity check myself. Are my expectations too high, or has anyone else noticed Qatar slipping lately?
