I was excited to secure Saver Award seats, but the seat selection charges have been a major disappointment. Qatar Airways is asking $103 just to choose a business class seat, and that's for each flight segment, not the entire journey.
At first, I thought I could skip paying the fee, but knowing my wife, there's a good chance we'll end up selecting seats anyway. It definitely takes some of the excitement out of what otherwise seemed like a great redemption.
