Flew DFW to DOH in economy today and got stopped at check in because my backpack was counted as a second carry on. Staff told me laptop bags and backpacks are not allowed in addition to a carry on, even though the website clearly says they are.
I had to shove my backpack into my carry on at the counter. Not a huge deal, but frustrating when the written policy and what ground staff enforce don’t match. Heads up to anyone flying Qatar out of DFW
