Flew Qatar Airways and my hard shell suitcase came back with a literal hole in it. Bag is about a year old from a well known brand.
I reported the damage within a week and asked for around $200, which felt reasonable. Qatar came back offering $40, which seems insanely low.
Is this normal for Qatar? How do they even calculate these amounts, and is there any point in pushing back?
