I’m planning a trip from Munich to Lahore with Qatar Airways and I’m seeing two options:
A short layover of about 1 hour 35 minutes (more expensive)
A long layover of around 19 hours that says it is eligible for “complimentary hotel accommodation during transit in Doha”
I’m confused whether this free hotel is actually real or just marketing.
Also, I don’t understand how visa entry works in this situation, since I’ve read that visa-on-arrival for Pakistani passport holders is currently suspended. I’m not sure if I would be allowed to leave the airport for the hotel or if it’s inside transit.
Has anyone recently done this type of Qatar Airways long layover and used the hotel program?
