I skimmed cabo and the drop-off is absolutely crazy. Hence why the shorebreak is the largest in the world. You can literally walk out 10-20 yds in between sets and be 10 ft + deep. Less than a half mile out of the marina it drops off to 400-500 ft. Go another cpl miles and it drops to 3000 ft plus.
Incredibly dangerous to swim, I used to be a lifeguard and have lived in Florida for 20 years....that being Said I haven't experienced rip currents even during Hurricanes that can compare to what I felt in Cabo. Pic I included is of me skimming the shorebreak at Solmar beach in Cabo.
