My family and I recently booked a Turkish Airlines trip for my girlfriend, who lives in Russia, but we only found out afterward that there have been issues and restrictions involving Russian citizens flying from Turkey to Mexico.
Unfortunately, our ticket doesn’t really qualify for a refund, so now we’re stuck trying to figure out what to do next. We spent a lot of money on this trip, and honestly I’m pretty stressed because it could completely ruin our summer plans if she ends up being denied boarding or unable to travel.
For anyone familiar with the current situation, how risky would it be to still attempt the trip? Has anyone recently traveled this route successfully or faced problems at check-in or transit?
Also looking for any advice or tips that could improve her chances of avoiding issues during the journey.
