Usually don’t reserve a set dining time on cruises because it’s nicer keeping the schedule flexible for shows and other activities. Just walk into the main dining room when it feels right.
The problem is that walk-in dining hasn’t been great in the past. Service felt less friendly and much slower compared to people with assigned tables and waiters.
Thinking about reserving a regular dining time this cruise just to see how the assigned waiter experience is.
Main question is how big of a deal it is if a time is reserved but sometimes plans change and dinner is skipped.
