There are early looks at the upcoming Alaska Airlines global lounge in the C Concourse extension at Seattle–Tacoma International Airport. The space appears significantly upgraded and suggests a move toward a more premium international product.
I’m curious how this will function operationally once it opens. Will widebody aircraft like the 787 eventually operate out of the C gates, or are those gates not configured for long-haul aircraft? Alternatively, will international passengers still need to transit between concourses, such as from C back to the N gates?
