Prep table before security. Would this actually help?

Last week I asked what frustrates people most about travel and the answer was basically… other travelers who aren’t prepared.

So I’ve been thinking. What if airports had a prep table before the security line with very clear signage specific to that checkpoint? Laptops out or not. Shoes off or not. Belts. Liquids. All of it.

Put bins there too so people can reorganize before they even enter the queue. Maybe even have someone stationed there to guide confused travelers.

Feels like it could cut down on the chaos at the front of the line.

Would that actually help in real life? Or would people still ignore it and figure it out when they get yelled at at the scanner?
