I just got back from a one-week trip to Greece and, as usual, I overpacked and ended up wearing only a small portion of what I brought.
For most of the trip, I rotated between just a few key items:
Two floral midi dresses (worn constantly)
One pair of linen trousers (barely used)
White sneakers
One pair of strappy sandals
The dresses basically covered everything, beach days, sightseeing, and dinners.
What I didn’t end up using at all:
A structured blazer I thought I might need
Two extra tops meant to mix and match with the trousers
A “just in case” cocktail dress that stayed untouched at the bottom of my bag
Overall, it really felt like the dresses carried the entire trip. I’m realizing again that I tend to overpack and then rely on the same simple outfits anyway.
Curious if others have had the same experience with overpacking and then simplifying once they arrive.
