Polaris meal service feels downgraded, anyone else noticing this?

Flew AUS→US and the Polaris service was definitely different:


No drink cart, FAs just asked what I wanted.

Appetizer/salad/entrée all came on one plate, so if you wanted to start with the starters your entrée was already cooling off.

Portions felt like they shrunk 10–15%, and hitting the snack cart felt almost necessary.

No dessert cart either, they just asked what I wanted.


This wasn’t a late-night TPAC where they speed things up. It was midday, normal mealtime.


Food notes: salmon tasted good but small portion, burrata was super dense and way too milky, salad dressing came in a cheap squeeze packet (def didn’t feel biz class), sundae is still a win but I miss seeing the cart.


Also feels like you have to know to ask for half the amenities now,pajamas, mattress pad, cognac, etc. UA markets all this stuff but doesn’t actually offer it unless you prompt them.


Anyone else seeing the same changes?
