Sitting on a pile of PlusPoints from 2024 and they’ve been basically impossible to use. Tried upgrading a bunch of flights and none of them cleared.
United even acknowledged the issue and said you could exchange PlusPoints for status gifting or flight credits. Cool. Except when I tried to do that, I was told only PlusPoints earned in 2025 are eligible. Why? Are PlusPoints from 2024 suddenly fake money?
Tried applying them to friends’ flights and they’re sitting at like #71 and #72 on the upgrade list for an A320. What’s even the point?
Kind of wild that you can spend tens of thousands with United, earn these “benefits,” and then find out they’re basically unusable.
